Craig Reams Personal Mods
Fist thing I did was polish the hammer, push rod, and spring guide. To do this, I went to Wal-Mart (chills running up my spine) and bought 1000, 2000 grade automotive autobody sandpaper. I also bought Emory (SP?) cloth and, this is important, Mother's mag/aluminum polish. The polish can also found in the automotive section. Hit everything with the fine grade emery cloth, then the 1000 grade sandpaper, next the 2000 sand paper, and lastly the I polished with the Mother's. Now, with the Mother's, a little goes along way and once you apply it you have to take time to make sure all the residue is off. The polish is white but it comes off black on a white cloth. Just keep rubbing until no more black stuff comes off. Remember to take off the O-ring on the hammer.

The next thing I polished was the power tube. Do it the same way as above, but only use the 2000 grain and the polish. The tube shouldn't need the work like the hammer does since the front bolt is plastic. (Do not polish the front Bolt!!!!!!!!!!) Next, I polished my stock barrel. I used a dowel rod with the 1000 grain paper and reamed-out the barrel, then I used the 2000 paper, and lastly the Mother's. Warning: I don't recommend using the Mothers on this one. I had a hard time getting the inside of the barrel completely clean and free of black residue. But, once it was all out, the stock barrel shot nice. Be careful not to over polish the barrel. It is possible and bad thing if it is done!! I now have a Taso Winforce and it works well. It probably isn't the best, but it was dirt-cheap. I was extremely surprised with its performance, but I'm just waiting for the Flatline on the Pro/Carb.

I did a simple trigger job. I really can't even call it that; I just polished the sear, hammer, and trigger like above. I do plan on getting a lighter spring. When I bought the barrel, I also received a RVA and it seems to work good.  Now, I haven't put his Mod to the time test, but I'm hoping it works out. I took a rubber washer and glued it to the front of the bolt. It can be glued to the valve but I did it this way so if it doesn't work I can scrape it off quickly. Right now it quiets the gun like nothing else!! All these Mods make the gun is so much more efficient and quieter.
